The Engaged Bridal Show Kansas City

Poste-Art at the Engaged Kansas City Bridal Show

This past Sunday in Kansas City felt like opening a brand-new sketchbook. The Engaged KC Bridal Show brought together so many joyful couples, and I was lucky enough to paint right there in the middle of it all. From the moment the doors opened, the energy was warm, curious, and beautifully Midwest — full of smiles, meaningful questions, and that newly-engaged sparkle.

Painting live at my booth gave couples a chance to see The Painted Guest experience in real time, and the feedback truly moved me. Hearing comments like “I’ve never seen anything like this at a bridal show,” or “This would be the perfect thank-you gift for our parents,” reminded me why I said yes to this new adventure. Couples weren’t just stopping by to watch — they were sharing their stories, trusting me with their visions, and imagining their guests holding portraits of themselves one day. It was connection first, paint second — and the result was pure magic.

Even more touching was the excitement from brides and grooms who told me my art felt personal, delicate, and full of heart. The kind of art you keep, not tuck away. That’s the best compliment I could ever receive.

Thank you, Kansas City, for the encouragement, the kindness, and the love for art made from real moments. This season may be the start of Poste-Art for The Painted Guest — where portraits travel by mail, but the memories never leave.

If you’re one of the couples I met Sunday, just know: your date might be booked, but your story is already remembered. Reach out anytime — I’d love to paint your celebration next.

With gratitude and paint-stained fingers,
